Our Mission

At McNamara Law, our mission is to understand our Clients' needs, and the external factors affecting them using more than 20 years of broad and deep experience in various areas of law.

We believe in the principle that  legal knowledge and experience can and  should be communicated clearly and as carefully as possible so that it is understandable.

We represent primarily small businesses and individuals, although in certain areas of expertise, we  Counsel very large companies and the Governmente.

We  have been retained as General Counsel to small businesses.

We  believe in assisting our Clients to make well-informed, cost-effective decisions.

Our Philospophy

We are dedicated to full value for every dollar invested in legal services and commitment to service. These are tough times.  We believe in providing compassionate and professional representation.  We will work to make your legal experience as easy as possible.

We believe in making return contacts with Clients within 48 hours or less, or we make the soonest possible contact thereafter.

We believe in offering cost-effective solutions, such as engaging in alternative dispute resolution, whenever it is possible.

Our Practice

Our expertise is in certain civil matters.   If a matter is both civil and criminal, or involves an area of law in which we do not practice, we will so advise you.

We work on a written contractual basis with Clients.

We require Retainers which may vary in size depending upon the scope and nature of the work.

We will consider a Client's ability to pay, and charge on a sliding scale, or enter into a payment plan if that is appropriate.

We advise all  Clients that litigation is expensive, and that litigation is not to be undertaken lightly.

We do not work on a contingency fee basis.

In litigation matters, our experience is generally geared toward the Circuit Court and Federal practice, and Administrative proceedings (state and Federal).

With families, especially in matters involving divorce and custody, and in Estate or Will Caveats, we prefer to work collaboratively and to try to minimize further damage to the family, if we can.

We are aware that businesses, and especially small businesses, have their own unique challenges.

We assist growing businesses with with a variety of matters on a one-time basis, or on  a flat fee basis or retainer across a variety of subject areas.  We are especially skilled in contract review, and employee diversity and EEO compliance policies.
